Catalog variables are masked

Hi!

We’ve started using the Catalog | Okteto Documentation option lately and it has proven quite useful.

However, it seems that all environment variables in a catalog are considered as secrets and are therefore masked in the log as well.

For example we have an environment variable containing just the number 3, and in the log output this results in all the occurrences of the number 3 being replaced with “***”

Is there a way we can prevent this?

Hi Mark,

I’m afraid there is no way to prevent it. All variables are treated as secrets and there is no way of differentiate it.
