As part of the [1.8 release](https://www.okteto.com/docs/1.8/self-hosted/install/releases/) of Okteto we have added support for Kubernetes version 1.25.

Due to the [removal of pod security policies](https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/security/pod-security-policy/), in Kubernetes, you will need to upgrade your Okteto version to 1.8 _ **before** _ upgrading your Kubernetes cluster to 1.25.

More information can be found in our [upgrade documentation](https://www.okteto.com/docs/1.8/self-hosted/install/upgrade/#upgrade-to-kubernetes-125).
